Step-by-Step: How to Repair Your Jeans with D.DENIM
Step 1: Prep the Area
Make sure the jeans are clean and dry. It’s best to lay them flat on a hard surface, and smooth out the area around the tear or worn spot. However, can you repair them while they are on.
Step 2: Pick Your Patch
Choose a patch from your D.DENIM kit based on the size and colour that matches your repair. For larger holes, go with the bigger 10 x 8 cm patch. For smaller areas, opt for the round or medium size. Patches can be cut to size, though no smaller than 3 cm and round the edges off.
Step 3: Peel the Backing
Gently partially peel off the white backing to reveal the adhesive side. Try to avoid touching the sticky part.
Step 4: Stick & Rub
Place the patch over the damage—either on the outside or inside of the jeans—and peel off the rest of the backing. Rub firmly for at least 1 minute. Use circular motions and even pressure to bond it in place.
Step 5: Let It Set
